During the 1970’s when teaching for the University of Illinois Study Abroad Program in Architecture based in Versailles, the gallerias and passageways were a fabulous return to the historic past of Paris, unique within the city of lights itself. It is a remarkable and wonderful thing that some still remain to remind everyone of the period in French history that it represents for us today. Anyone should take the time to visit and marvel at the architectural beauty and urban planning it represents.
